Taken 8/31/2009 2:10:22 PM
Symmetry Spire (10,560 ft / 3,219 m) is the highest point in the group of peaks between Cascade and Hanging Canyons, just west of Jenny Lake. This group of peaks also includes Storm Point, Cube Point, and Ice Point. The summit of Symmetry Spire provides excellent views of the three peaks that make up the Cathedral Group: Teewinot Mountain, Mount Owen and The Grand Teton. Below, at Jenny Lake, the Jenny Lake Boats shuttle hikers across the lake. Popular climbing routes up the spire include SW Ridge (II 5.7), Durrance Ridge (II 5.6), Direct Jensen Ridge (III 5.8), East Ridge (II Class 4), and the SW Couloir (II Class 4).
