Teton View Point

A beautiful viewpoint in Grand Teton National Park, along Highways 26/89/187 is located in between Jackson, Wyoming and the Moran entrance of the park. Many visitors to the area stay in Jackson Hole in order to visit Yellowstone National Park and rarely set aside enough time to explore Grand Teton National Park other than driving through it.

Turnouts and scenic viewpoints offer these visitors a quick escape and taste of the beauty of the Tetons, but if you truly want to experience what this small park has to offer you need to hit the trails. There are a variety of trails that the park offers, from flat to steep, from short to multi-day. A must see is Hidden Falls, located on the far side of Jenny Lake. You can either hike 2 miles around the lake and then .5 miles up the canyon to see the falls, or take the Jenny Lake Boat Shuttle across the lake and hike .5 miles from there. The falls are a great destination for kids and those who don't want to venture too far. But if you feel like exploring further, continue along the trail to Inspiration Point and into Cascade Canyon. After the steep climb to Inspiration Point, the canyon levels out and you can enjoy a leisurely stroll as far back into the canyon as you wish. You will not be disappointed.

For more information on hiking and other activities within the park, visit the Grand Teton National Park website.
